A The applicant's passport refers to the document that the applicant applies for in his or her home country or the country's embassy or consulate abroad to prove his or her nationality and identity abroad.
There are many types of international travel documents. International travel documents valid in mainland China include but are not limited to:
1. Passport
2. Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents (Home Return Permit)
3. Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents (Taiwan Compatriot Permit)
4. Seaman's Certificate, etc.
Valid documents refer to: original passports with a validity period of more than 6 months and blank visa pages. Those with a validity period of less than 6 months, no blank pages or missing corners on the cover cannot be used to apply for a visa"
